drapilux presents its product innovations for 2008

For the Heimtextil 2008 in Frankfurt, the textile manufacturer’s creative team has developed further innovations in both the basic and the premium segment. The aim of this year’s efforts was to produce an interface between fashion, architecture and innovative interior design.

In the basic segment, drapilux-222 presents large patterned checks on a light background as part of a sporty design. The six bright colours make for a light and cheerful living space. With its smaller-sized checks, matching stripes and attuned stripes and plain patterns, drapilux-223 complements drapilux-222, taking up the combined theme and continuing the successful drapilux-106 series. All items are presented in a compact themed display.

Three new series will be presented in the premium segment. drapilux-151 has a distinctly precious and profoundly expressive quality to it. Stripe patterns and colouring are available in five different colour arrangements. Expressive, self-confident colour combinations, predominantly in the darker range, add a note of individuality to the sophisticated living atmosphere.

The design of drapilux-224 is authentic and free of frills. The clear forms characterising its style manifests itself in the well matched and coordinated check and stripes series. The bright and rich quality of the five colours underlines the high value of the series: dark marine blue with yellow and aqua, anthracite grey with pistachio and turquoise, chestnut-chocolate with Bordeaux and crimson, aubergine-Bordeaux with brass and mandarin as well as saffron with cotto and green.

By means of additional finishing processes, all home decorating fabrics are soft and smooth to the touch. Their popular air version conveys safety and comfort, thus contributing to the appealing atmosphere of sophisticated interiors.

A new generation of lathe looms has replaced the classic lathe loom with dobbies and special lathe braids. This innovation has now given rise to new manufacturing techniques, especially in the in-between segment. On the basis of this new weaving concept, drapilux-752 was developed, a modern plaited voile that comes in seven unusual colour shades. The four-colour ombré stripe makes it a highlight among this year’s drapilux new items. The fabric stands out on account of its fancy design, its high transparency as well as its very good user qualities.

Just how important it is to develop concepts for the trade that can actually be realised was shown by the successful launch of the Best of Hotel Collection in autumn 2007. With the innovations presented here, drapilux builds on its experience and success in object refinement.
